The Year 2015

This year, 2015, is shaping up to be a notably historic one. While the world church of Seventh-day Adventists gather in San Antonio, Texas, for the 60th Session of the General Conference in July (in a hostile state according to the Jade Helm map and here), the United Nations will two months later celebrate the 70th year of that world body by inviting Pope Francis to speak to the General Assembly on September 25.

This is only one day after he is scheduled to address the United States Congress in Washington D.C. As House Speaker John Boehner observed, “On that day, he will become the first leader of the Holy See to address a joint meeting of Congress. It will be a historic visit...” And why will it be historic? Because, while papal visits to the United States have become almost commonplace in recent decades, even meeting with Presidents, this is the first pontiff to address the law-making arm of the American government. There are legal implications in this historic first.

The timing couldn’t be better. His encyclical on Climate Change with its call to Environmental Unity ending with an appeal to innate trinitarian relationships within all human beings and then a final prayer to Mother Mary on behalf of Mother Earth, was nicely upstaged by a surprise encore but 8 days later when the Supreme Court gave its blessing on same-sex unions (we dare not call them marriages) which is being served up with much fanfare just in time for a greatly anticipated vote in Texas, on Women's Ordination, deliberations of which will begin in ernest next week.

And then there was that cryptic announcement by French foreign minister Laurent Fabius on May 13, 2014 that, “We have 500 days to avoid climate chaos.” Interestingly, and to many folk not coincidentally, it is exactly 500 days inclusive from May 13, 2014 to September 24, 2015. Verify it yourself here.

Perhaps you've heard of the Jubilee connection between Day of Atonement, September 23, 2015, and the restoration of Jerusalem by Israel from Arab control on June 7, 1967 during the famous Six Day War. The difference in days between these two soon to be historic dates is exactly 17,640 days. This big number is exactly divisible by 360 (the number of days in a prophetic year) into 49 (the number of years in a jubilee cycle). Thus the return of Jerusalem to Israeli control in 1967 was a Jubilee event of restoration of inheritance to the original owner (Leviticus 25:13). And 49 years later, another Jubilee is destined to return every man unto his possession. Will that really happen this September? And how? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

But wait, there’s more. As Francis (the 266th pope) speaks in New York on the 25th of September (the 266th day of the year), the “strictly” 21+ three day free-for-all New Age Mystical Occult drug-fueled Music Festival called TomorrowWord 2015 will begin, Yes, on September 25 in Atlanta, Georgia. Meanwhile, TRSC had planned since April to have our camp meeting this year begin Friday evening, September 25 here in Talking Rock. The outcome of San Antonio will by that time be history, Jade Helm will end (we hope) on September 15, The United Nations will have proclaimed September 21, World Peace Day (and as we all know, when they cry peace, then cometh sudden destruction. 1 Thess 5:3), and of course, Francis will have confronted Congress on the 24th, one day after the 10th of Tishri (or 7/11 in Jewish month reckoning), one day after Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the fast and solemn assembly (Joel 1:14), the Sabbath of Sabbaths.

An expected the final fourth blood moon lunar eclipse on the last of the past four consecutive full moon annual festivals appointed in Leviticus 23 will occur at 10:47 PM Sunday evening, September 27 (biblically the 28th), the first day of the feast of Tabernacles. Much can and will undoubtedly happen between now and then. Now is the time for us to prepare our hearts, fortify our minds, fill our lamps with oil from the Holy One.

Great peace have they that love thy law and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119:165
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God, in Him will I trust. Psalm 91:2

Grace and peace be unto you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of the Father in truth and love. 2 John 3
