The Faith of Jesus

Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints:
Here are they that keep the commandments of God, AND the faith of Jesus”

Very similar to Revelation 12:17… “The remant of her seed, Which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ”

The saints, the remnant of the seed of the woman,
KEEP the commandments of God the Father. And
KEEP the faith of Jesus and HAVE His testimony.

They have Christ’s testimony, his witness, but they keep his faith.

How do we keep God’s commandments? WHERE are His commandments to be kept?
Jeremiah 31:33 “I will put my law (my commandments) in their inward parts---
Where is that? I will write it in their hearts.
Hebrews 8:10 “I will put my laws into their MIND (inward parts)”

How does He write His law in our mind? Same way he wrote it on the tables of Stone.
How did God write the Ten Commandments on the two tables of stone?
With the finger of God.
How did Jesus cast out evil spirits?
Luke 11:20 by the finger of God. And Matt 12:28 by the Spirit of God.

2Cor 3:2,3 “You are our letter written in our hearts, for you are declared to be the epistle of Christ...Written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart”

The Father’s Spirit writes the Father’s Law in our hearts.
This goes right along with what Jesus said, “it is the Spirit of your Father in you” Matt 10:20.

The High Priest wore an ephod and a breast plate on which were 12 stones and 12 names of the tribes of Israel—His people. Jesus, our High Priest in heaven, bears over his heart, the names of his people. He desires to write His name, His Law, His Character, in our hearts, in our minds. Rev 14:1. On mount Zion are 144,000 with the Lamb “having his Father’s name written in their foreheads”

“Here are they that keep the commandments of God”

Did Jesus keep his Father’s commandments? Yes!
John 15:10 “I have kept my Father’s commandments, AND abide in His love.”
Here is the patience of Jesus: Here is He that kept the commandments of God his Father, AND the abiding faith of his Father’s love.

Did Jesus have his Father’s name written in his forehead, in his mind, in his heart? Yes!
Psalm 40:8 “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yes, Thy law is within my heart.”

Did Jesus have to have faith in his Father? How did Jesus abide in His Father’s love?
How did Jesus KNOW that his Father loved him?
Twice his Father spoke of His divine approval:
“This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased!”

At his baptism down, down in the Jordan valley,
And at his transfiguration up, up on the mountain top.

And what was the testimony of Jesus?
John 8:16 “I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.”

That’s not all, his testimony continues!
“It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.”
The law Jesus spoke of was the law of Moses recorded in Deuteronomy 17:6:
“At the mouth of two witnesses” and in 19:15:
“One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin...[but] at the mouth of two witnesses

It was respect for this law that Jezabel advised Ahab to secure the death of Naboth in 1Kings 21:9,10 “...set Naboth on high among the people,” she said. “And set two men sons of Belial before him, to bear witness against him” to testify against him.

But here the testimony of two men was false. The same was done to Jesus himself at his own trial in Matthew 26:60. “At the last came two false witness.”

But Jesus said “the testimony of two men is true”
“I am one that bear witness of myself,
and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.” He makes two.

What was Jesus saying here? He and his Father are the two witnesses.
Jesus witnesses of himself that he is the Son of God, and his Father testified that he was His Son.

What sustained Jesus through the rejection and accusations of his trial, through the agonies of Calvary? He believed the testimony of his Father. This is the faith of Jesus. He trusted in his Father.

What allowed Jesus to sleep in peace during the height of a storm on the sea of Galilee? The faith of Jesus in his Father, that his Father, the one who gave him to have life in himself, was also caring for him in and through all things. John 6:57 “I Live by the Father,” Jesus said.

And we can say the same thing.
Gal 2:20 “I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me”
The faith of Jesus.

Grace and peace be unto you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of the Father in truth and love. 2 John 3
